Thank you for visiting my site.  My name is Tal Neilsen, my business started out of necessity in the 1970's.  Being a WORKING cowboy, I learned to make my own leatherwork by watching and learning from 'Old-Time' saddle makers.  Since money was hard to come by on a cowboy's wages, I began making my own saddle bags, spur straps, vaccine saddle bags, chinks, batwing chaps and belts.  I also became very proficient in the art of repair.  By doing this, other cowboys began asking for my work and thus, my business grew.

I now have 25 years of experience in the leather business.  My work is primarily focused on  working cowboy gear, but I have also expanded into motorcycle leather, purses, rodeo gear and many other custom items.  My goal is quality workmanship in a timely fashion, while keeping prices reasonable.

Please look around and see some of the many items I have to offer.  If you need something you don't see, please contact me and I will tell you what I can do. Also, feel free to stop by the shop at 3917 Main St. Cottonwood-right beside Shasta Feed at the Shasta Auction Yard. Look forward to seeing you!
